About
Eggbox Marketing began as Robin Houghton Communications in 2002 and was incorporated in 2005. The company name changed in 2007.
Robin Houghton: Director
With a marketing career spanning over 20 years, I have a solid background in brand management, strategic planning & execution and business-to-consumer marketing. I was Nike’s first UK Women’s Marketing Manager and went on to hold international management roles with Adidas in communications, product development and marketing based in the Germany and the US, with category responsibilities for Europe and Asia.
An internet ‘early adopter’, I created my first website in 1997 (for the Adidas intranet), and have worked agency-side in online marketing since 1999, working throughout much of the 2000s with SME businesses.
I’m a graduate of the University of Sussex with an MA (Distinction) in Digital Media.
You can view my CV and testimonials at LinkedIn.
Partners
Where appropriate I work with a network of partners, suppliers and colleagues, often on a project basis where the teams are fluid according to the needs of the client and the job in hand.
My Values
I operate within an ethical framework of respectful and best business practice. This means (for example) I am honest about what is and isn’t possible, and I won’t promise something or advise a course of action just because that’s what the client wants to hear, or because there’s something in it for me.
I believe in the social web as a force for good, but that doesn’t mean I’m not occasionally cynical about its darker side.
I stick to my word, meet deadlines and pay on time, and in the interest of mutual respect I enjoy working with clients who do the same.
